The Valentine’s Day is celebrated every February 14th in several countries, also known as Day of love and friendship. This special celebration is based on the importance of love since the third century, so becoming the patron of lovers.

There used to be a priest whose name was Valentine who was sentenced for disobeying the order of Emperor Claudius II for celebrating marriages of young people in secret. The emperor said that singles without a family were better dedicated to the army as soldiers rather than looking for a partner.

The reason why it is celebrated every year on February 14th is due to the fact that Emperor Claudius II sentenced Valentine to death on February 14th of the year 270. It is known that the first time the feast day was celebrated took place on February 14th, 494. The feast of love is celebrated regardless of religion or sexual orientation among people.
